Similar in style to the Classic Tour, this walking food tour of Holland, Michigan starts in beautiful Kollen Park on the shore of Lake Macatawa. This three-hour tour includes uniquely Holland food tastings and stories of Holland’s history, art and architecture. As the group saunters down 9th Street, we will view historic homes such as the Cappon House and the Settlers House, among others. Come discover how Holland almost didn’t exist as is…. Pilgrim Home Cemetery is the final resting place of the founder of Holland, Michigan –Albertus VanRaalte– as well as thousands of others who have made this vibrant city what it is today. Your guide will lead you through this burial ground and share stories of the lives that have gone before. As you stroll through this beautiful and peaceful place, you will learn about Dutch traditions and some of the legends of our town. Tours last approximately 90 minutes and involve a mile of walking. Each guest will also receive a bottle of water and a special Dutch confectionery.
